Loved the food and the aesthetics! Cheap prices for nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. Right next to the safe to swim little pools between the rocks at the ocean, which you get for free

You come for the sun... And stay till the last light turns to night. Very nice place with simple but OK food. Very close are natural pools. And you can park your car very close to this bar.

I highly recommend this place. Very tasty burgers. Great vegetarian options. The onion rings were exceptional. Everything is given in sufficient quantity. The price is very good. The owner is very friendly and honest. Best part of the dinner was the location. Excellent view of the sunset over the sea (even though it was a bit cloudy when we were there). There are even a few natural pools in those rocky formations to swim.

Sunset Steve’s in São Miguel is a true island gem, perfect for a laid-back, beachside experience. We visited during the day, and the coastal view was still stunning, with the ocean stretching out under a beautiful sky. We tried the bifana, and it was absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The relaxed atmosphere, combined with fresh, simple dishes that highlight local ingredients, makes this spot feel like a cozy escape. Whether you catch it at sunset or any other time of day, Sunset Steve’s is a must-visit for travelers wanting to enjoy the best of São Miguel’s coastal charm.

Ample parking. Friendly staff who spoke excellent English. An ample menu with a range of drink types and food types. They do not take American Express, but almost no one does on the island. 1 Liter sangria was light and refreshing. The food came out quickly. Excellent views overlooking the ocean sunset and the swimmable tide pools.

Breathtaking view, especially for sunset, we were lucky to get seats outside, so I can't rate the inside view. We had good Burgers, Cocktails and IPA Beers. Prices are totally appropriate, the owners were really nice.
